MET provides interest free loan scholarships to selected needy, determined, focused
and resourceful students. To be eligible, a candidate must have secured admission for
graduate studies in one of the accredited US universities, have obtained the necessary
visas, and have obtained commitments for or secured most of the funds needed the education.
Scholars are selected based on their need, along with their determination, focus and resourcefulness
as evidenced through their application materials, backgrounds, careers, and through MET
interviews.
The scholars join a community of highly successful people and are provided contact information of
the trustees, other scholars, and volunteers. This enables a scholar to seek a career advice from
past scholars, volunteers and trustees. This also allows the scholar to interact and share own
challenges and experiences with others. These contacts can guide scholars in their studies, in their
efforts to get internship assignments, to prepare for entering the competitive job market and,
at times, even to land their first jobs. A scholar who effectively uses the resources of this
elite community can get a significant competitive advantage.
The students can be from any country outside US, of any ethnicity, gender, race, age or language.
Any student is eligible for this scholarship after he secures admission, gets the necessary visas
and immigration papers, and raises or gets commitments for most of the necessary funds.
The selection process evaluates applicant’s “need, determination, focus, and
resourcefulness” as evidenced through his careers, backgrounds, application materials
and interviews with the trustees.
These are loan scholarships and the loan repayments increase the size and numbers of the
subsequent awards. Therefore, scholars are encouraged to apply only for the loan amounts they
need and pay the loans back as soon as possible.
