Mr. Buwasaheb Dangat

Mr. Buwasaheb Dangat was a self-made man who grew-up in a small village. At the age of 12 he went to Mumbai and became a newspaper boy. With his people skills and business savvy, he settled major newspaper strikes and eventually became chief agent for most newspapers in Maharashtra. While a successful businessman, he dedicated himself for social services in rural areas of Maharashtra. He started several schools near Junnar, including an orphanage school which now hosts 250 students from poor families. This scholarship is dedicated in his memory to Mr. Buwasaheb Dangat.

The scholarship is awarded by Mr and Mrs G. S. (Dan) Dangat.
